Help Save DogWorld Dog Park

From the beginning, we understood that keeping the park alive would be a difficult task. We understood the park would be a labor of love, but we wanted to do our best to keep it alive anyway. Whether successful or not, the experience and memories the park has given to our family and countless other families has been worth it all. Thank you to everyone who has experienced this journey with us.
DogWorld Dog Park is reaching out to ask for your help. As some of you know, DogWorld was seeing losses of nearly $12k/month since beginning in January 2021. The park was ready to close down. In late May 2021, the decision was made to hand the park operations and majority ownership over to Erin Christner (StonePaw Dog Training), Dana Coulter (Financial Advisor), Adam Coulter (Property Maintenance), and Marco Mercado (Software Engineer). We were able to stop the losses and bring the park to a break-even point in one year.

Since March of 2021, DogWorld has brought in a revenue of $140,000, while the operating cost has been $144,000. The numbers do not include upkeep and repairs. The original plan was to operate the park at a break-even point. At the same time, we invested our own money to build an excellent doggie daycare on-site, which would generate the revenue needed to operate the park year-round while still being able to make improvements to the property. The property needs severe repairs. We were counting on the property owner to extend our lease-to-own agreement, but they have declined.
Not renewing our lease forces us to purchase the property by the end of the year or vacate and shut down DogWorld. We have put our blood, sweat, and tears into keeping the park alive, and as a last resort, we are making a crowdfunding effort to raise money for the down payment on the property and the expenses required to build the daycare.
We are asking for $300,000. The estimated down payment to purchase the property is $160,000, while the estimated cost to upfit the existing bathhouse for the daycare is $120,000. We ask for $300,000 to help the business stay afloat and cover any crowdfunding fees until the daycare is built.
Our team has built something special at DogWorld. We have created a system that makes us an example of what dog parks should be. Putting aside our unique water features, we have built a dog park with more safety measures than any public dog park to ensure that you and your dog are safe and have fun. We want to keep the park alive so everyone can enjoy its wonderful experience.
As a last-ditch effort, we are asking for $300,000 by 12/31/2022. We thank anyone that donates to the cause. If the crowdfunding is unsuccessful, all who donated will be refunded once the park’s future has been decided. We will offer the following tier list rewards if the crowdfunding efforts succeed (updates will be sent out in January regarding production and shipment).
