DogWorld Dog Park was created with dogs as our focus

What does this mean?

DogWorld’s mission was to create an off-leash paradise for dogs and their owners to safely play together and socialize. We found that most public dog parks were small, crowded space with no way to know if other dogs were vaccinated or friendly so we created a park where we could ensure all dogs were vaccinated and temperament screened.

Our 16-acre property provides a pond, two baby pools, an Olympic size swimming pool, and two water slides for swimming; acres and acres of fenced open fields to run; and an obstacle course to master.

Our check-in and software systems ensure that any dog entering the park is current on their vaccinations. Our temperament screening gives us an opportunity to see how your dog interacts with another dog prior to entering the park. During screening we assign a color-coded tag to give a visible indicator to others of your dogs’ temperament and play style. Our color code system allows you to know at a glance the personalities of the dogs around you and engage or move on accordingly. You can view our temperament color chart below.

Just like humans, dogs have different temperaments. Some are outgoing, some are shy, some prefer to keep to themselves while others love to chase and wrestle. No temperament is better or worse than the other.

Park rules have been carefully considered and specifically created to ensure a peaceful environment. We invite and encourage you to ask if you don’t understand why certain rules are in place. We know that we can’t prevent all issues, but we strive to create an environment that will set you and your dog up for success!

Creating a healthy envrionment for dogs means that we are here to help their humans understand dog play dynamics and body language. We seek to educate our guests on dog behavior and encourage them to ask staff members any questions. Educated owners and well trained dogs make for a happy park!

Socialization, exercise, and training are key to your dogs’ happiness – and yours! Let’s play!

Need Training?

DogWorld Dog Park is partnered with StonePaw Training!
When you choose StonePaw, you choose integrity.

Since 2016, StonePaw’s head trainer, Erin, has worked with thousands of dogs and their families. Prior to starting StonePaw Training Erin was head trainer for a local board and train company. Working with many different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and age ranges has given Erin the ability to help dogs with any issue!

Erin is passionate about pursuing continuing education opportunities – she has recently  attended The Lemonade Conference through Fenzi Dog Sports Academy, Training Between the Ears® Level 1, The Clicker Expo, NePoPo® Theory, The Aggression in Dogs Conference, Canine Con, and the Puppy Potential Workshop.

She is a member of the Association for Professional Dog Trainers and an AKC Temperament Test and Canine Good Citizen Evaluator since 2020, and is insured through State Farm. Erin is certified in CPR and first aid for pets through Pet Tech®.

Erin works alongside her assistant trainer and high school sweetheart, Marco. Together, they spent much of 2021 working on DogWorld Dog Park in Kannapolis, NC, where Marco learned he had a passion for helping dogs and their people live their best life!

Together, Erin and Marco own five dogs and four cats, and have fostered many more. This experience allows them to understand how it feels to live with problem dogs (or cats) – and how great it feels once your dog’s issues are solved!
